Hardwork Pays Off — Cristiano Ronaldo

Raised in an impoverished family in Madeira, Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo (5 February, 1985), now stands as an inspirational character for millions of youths around the world, after having to travel through manifold of hardships to become what he is today.

Despite his family’s depleted economic condition, Ronaldo engaged himself in an intense and dedicated training in a quest to become the world’s best football player that saw him as a senior player of sporting CP in his very young age. His relentless endeavour to becoming the greatest player led him to Manchester United as the most expensive teenager at 18, where he went on to win myriads of collective and individual awards, thanks to his determination and positive mindset.

Having been recognized with the greatest annual honor of football, FIFA Ballon d’Or in Manchester, Ronaldo found himself on the radar of Club of the Century Real Madrid and joined the side in 2009, with record breaking transfer fee. Throughout his tenure in Madrid side, he witnessed trophy laden 9 years adding 4 UCL trophies and 4 Ballon d’Or Awards to his name taking his tally to 5 in both honors. Dubbed as goalscoring machine, Ronaldo despite being 33 years old secured a move to Italian giant Juventus for a fresh challenge and currently impressing the people of Italy through his skills and abilities proving age is just a number. Owing to the untiring and unstinting efforts, Ronaldo has now established himself as an idol for upcoming generation.

‘I never want to lose. In my mind I am always the best.’, Ronaldo always expresses his positive mindset to combat the challenge that stands in front of him. In addition to this, Ronaldo has a high level of patience that every person needs to have upon following his dreams. Ronaldo, in 2004 upon getting defeated by Greece in Euro Final shed the tears of lamentation but did not shatter his dreams of winning international trophy and his passion, patience and preseverance finally led him to shed the tears of happiness in 2016 winning the Euro Final against France. Had Ronaldo admitted the defeat and not tried to bounce back from the failure, Ronaldo would not have won internationally acclaimed title. Thanks to his contribution to his country, he is revered as the God of football in Portugal and has his statue lying high in Madiera and also not to forget an airport named after him. 

Rising players from around the world are indebted to Ronaldo in achieving what they would not have, if it was not for Ronaldo’s motivation, support and counsel for them. The quality of leadership he has makes him rise above all. It would not be a surprise to realise that Cristiano has captained his nation to win two internationally coveted titles. Whenever Cristiano’s name is taken, leadership is the obvious thing that is perceived in people’s mind. 

The hero on and off the pitch, Ronaldo is renowned for his generous and altruistic nature. Be it building the hospitals or launching the charity programmes for disaster victims or campaigning for better world for children, Ronaldo never stops to amaze us through his social life. Not only in his country but also over the whole world, Ronaldo spreads his helping hands for the attainment of better world. Thanks to his contribution of £ 5 million to Nepal for disaster relief acts in post earthquake period in 2015, he was entitled as the most Charitable Person in the world in the same year. 

Giving the due priority to his family and not rejecting his fans from autographing and taking selfies, Ronaldo influences every person to love and support his/her lovers and supporters. 

From experiencing failures to becoming the best in the world and from having to stay hungry for whole night to providing funds to needy ones, Ronaldo has voyaged through lots of difficult waters to become the perfect role model of ambitious people. He inspires every dream-seekers for assiduous efforts and untiring devotion to accomplish what they are dreaming of. In addition to that, he enthuses people to maintain a healthy social life.
